Road trip USA - Part 2 (the planning)

We had 2 months to plan out everything.....

I started browsing the net for motorhome rental in the U.S. My friends were telling me that motorhomes in the U.S are much bigger and the common term for it is "motorhome or RV". In our country its called "campervan". My mission to look and find the best offer for a motorhome began. The first obstacle that I came across was the difference between the Class A motorhome and the Class C motorhome. I googled it and found out that the difference between them is the that the Class A motorhome is much bigger and it has a "Bus design" model, while the Class C has a "Cab-over design" - this means that it has a "Cab-over Bed". I made a checklist below of the things you need to consider when renting a motorhome in the U.S.

1. Know the exact number of people who will travel. (in my case, we are 5 in the family)
2. Check out the internet for motorhome advice and motorhome rentals.
3. Be specific on the different features of the motorhome.

Road trip USA - Part 1 (how it started)

My first cross country trip to the United States was at the age of 15. Back then most of our holiday drives were only in Australia. Every year the family rent out a campervan. 'Til my dad during our regular sunday family lunch, kept asking everyone about going to north america and experience the great outdoors. All were quite shocked. hahaha! Even my mother can't believe what she heard. My sisters were even joking about my dad of being just bored with his wood carving hobby because since he started 'til now he has not showed us a single work.

As weeks gone by, the roadtrip plan of my dad was never mentioned again. All were thinking that he has already forgotten about it. After a month while I was about to have my breakfast, one of my sisters asked me about the news. I was eager to know about it that I asked her if she can stay for a minute just to tell me about it. My sister works in a law firm and had to be in the office before 8 am. But before she can even speak out about what the news was, there rushing in the kitchen my dad with a big smile on his face. Looking at him I can already sense what the news was all about. I looked at my sister, before she can speak out I told her "I already know, its okay you can go now". My sister was laughing while going out of our house. Then my dad said "son, start packing your things coz we are leaving in 2 months". From there on, I cant believe that he was really serious about this road trip plan to the united states.
